The Password:JDM dry carbon fiber battery cover for the 2008-2021 Subaru WRX STi uses the factory mounting hardware to cover your battery. This cover keeps the top of the battery from looking dusty with debris whenever you pop the hood. This will fit both normal WRX and STi models.

Please Note: We have seen issues in the past with aftermarket intercoolers causing clearance issues for this battery cover.

Warning: When installing battery covers please ensure your battery has a terminal cover, Carbon Fiber is a conductive material. The Password:JDM Dry Carbon Fiber Gurney Flap / Wickerbill is a short lip that protrudes upward from the upper trailing edge of the 2008-2020 Subaru WRX STI Sedan's factory spoiler / Password:JDM Dry Carbon Fiber Elevated Rear Spoiler. It’s used to enhance the wing’s down-force characteristics by separating the airflow on the back side of the wing, primarily that which comes over the top of the wing. The result creates a localized high-pressure zone on the top side of the wing generating enforced.

By preventing air to escape over the top of the radiator, these cooling plates allow a maximum amount of airflow directly to your radiator, resulting in reduced coolant temperatures during aggressive driving.

The cooling system is a vital component of your 2008-2014 Subaru WRX's operation. The radiator needs constant airflow, with minimum turbulence, to be as efficient as possible. Unfortunately, gaps in the structure around the radiator allow air to escape, resulting in lost efficiency. We have designed the Password:JDM Dry Carbon Fiber Cooling Plate for the 08-14 Subaru WRX's to eliminate this problem. By preventing air to escape over the top of the radiator, these cooling plates allow a maximum amount of airflow directly to your radiator, resulting in reduced coolant temperatures during aggressive driving. This will fit normal WRX and STi models.

Small imperfections such as wavy weaves, small bubbles and resin blemishes will be inevitable, and they do not affect performance. Such minor imperfections are race industry standard and considered acceptable.

Care instructions: Please note that these parts finished in the natural dry carbon fiber, which does not include any UV-protectant clear-coat finish. Due to this being an exterior part we recommend to apply a coat of Spray-on Wax or Ceramic Coat to prevent water spots / white marks from appearing after rain or car wash. You can also optionally have a body shop apply the UV resistant clear-coat finish for added protection.
